This bronze statue by Kathleen Farrell of a road worker is located in Joliet, Illinois at the intersection of Highway 30 and Theodore St. Farrell collaborates with community and labor groups to create public art that tells the often forgotten stories of the lives of ordinary people. Since 1975, she has directed public art programs in Joliet that have created over 80 works of community-based public art.
