Flyer for 20th anniversary of Martin Luther King, Jr.'s "I have a dream" speech.

The title of this 1983 flyer tells a good bit of the story - "We still have a dream…" for Jobs, Peace and Equality. Race was a constant concern of United Tradeswomen members, and the heavy double burden women of color bore as they entered the skilled trades was the focus of public programs, discussion groups, columns, stories and poems in the organizations' newsletter.

Private collection, 1983.
