ForumWe invite you to visit the homepage of our new e-mail forum, H-Labor-Arts. The page offers a list of the most recent postings, a method of searching for messages on particular topics, and an opportunity to sign up as a new member. This electronic discussion group is a forum for historians, artists and labor activists to share information and debate topics related to labor arts. Launched in March, 2002, it is a joint project of the Labor Arts web museum and H-Net, an international consortium of scholars in the humanities and social sciences. The mechanism is simple--anyone with a serious interest in the subject may sign on to this moderated list. Once a member you can post messages to the list, and you will receive the messages that other members post. There is no obligation--it is simple to temporarily (or permanently) stop the postings at any time. The electronic infrastructure is sophisticated, providing an archive of messages that can be searched by topic, date, or author, and linking users to the archives of hundreds of other H-Net on-line communities. H-Labor-Arts, and H-Net, were created to provide a positive, supportive, equalitarian environment for the friendly exchange of ideas and resources. We urge artists, activists and historians from around the world to take full advantage of this opportunity. To sign up visit the H-Labor-Arts home page; if there are any questions please contact us at info@laborarts.org. |
