New York
Occupation: Transportation - air, rail, auto, shipping
Collection: Wagner Labor Archives

New York labor supported striking air traffic controllers with a "stall in" at La Guardia Airport.  The unsuccessful air controllers' strike in 1981 represented a major defeat for the U.S. labor movement and a trend-setting example of the use of replacement workers to fill the jobs of striking employees.
