Anti-Vietnam War demonstration, New York City, March 26, 1966.

This was one of the earlier demonstrations against the Vietnam war. The signs, "Trade Unionists for Peace" and "Trade Union Groups," without the names of unions, indicates that it was a period when few unions were speaking out against the war. Two years later -- in 1968 -- the Labor Assembly for Peace in Chicago brought together official representatives from a large number of AFL-CIO and independent unions. Note the similarity between the sign "Bring the Troops Home Now" and signs being carried today with respect to the war in Iraq.
