Around January of 2019, I got accepted to come back to do a leadership program with CUNY Service Corps in Puerto Rico. Around the summer that’s when I first got I selected. Over 2,000 applicants applied to and the moment when I found how I got picked. I felt very grateful and so elated! Overall, this photo explains the remarkable work and hard dedication that when into these homes. Being half Puerto Rico and coming back to help out has done such a big impact in my life. I want to share the work and some of the damages that people suffered from because of Hurricane Maria. This picture also shows one of the volunteers drilling on top of the owners home. The reason why this imaged is a part of Labor Arts because the picture portrays the help that is given to the community and the hard work. Especially, when is coming from your heart.
